Whether you are using your GrowMax Water System for gardening or aquaria, if you need your water to be as pure as possible it is vital to change the deionization filter when required.

When to change
These filters generally last longer in soft water areas than hard water areas, this is due to the mineral content of tap water and means that there isn’t a specific time to change it.
The easy way is to measure the EC(electrical conductivity or TDS(total dissolved solids) using a suitable meter, Bluelab and Essentials are good examples.
When the meter starts to read more than 0 it is time for replacement.
