Know Your Cocos

There are 3 choices of coco: 

• Plain coco (Canna Coco Professional Plus or Ecothrive Coco Lite) – holds more water
• 60/40 (Gold Label or Ecothrive coco/clay pebble mix) – free draining
• 70/30(Ecothrive or GHE coco/perlite mix) – a balance of the 2

For young plants and seedlings, use a 70/30 coco mix before re-potting into 60/40 mix for larger plants.

When re-potting, always sprinkle a mycorrhiza product such as Great White or Plant Magic Granules in the hole to encourage vigorous rooting.

A nutrient solution pH of 5.8 to 6.2 is perfect in coco as it has a higher pH value to begin with.
