Temperatures are starting to rise

As we finally start to see temperatures rise towards summer, here are a few tips to help your grow room maintain the perfect environment.

  • Good airflow is key – With both an in and out fan to ensure the air is exchanged, don’t forget to check your carbon filter is not blocked (if you run a humidifier with hardwater the calcium deposits may block your filter within 9 months), this will reduce the airflow out significantly and may cause temperatures to rise. Carbo Air Carbon Filters come in all sizes with handy hanging hooks to make them easy to put up and take down.
  • Check nutrient solution temperatures –Nutrient solutions usually run about 2 degrees lower than room temperatures.Keep solution temperature under 24 degrees to reduce chance of root problems. If struggling, add a Boyu water chiller for 24 hour peace of mind or try Vitalink Chill.

MOST IMPORTANTLY – If room temperatures go over 32 degrees – turn some lights down or off! At 34 degrees you are killing the plant cells.
