How to Use
Simply place the heat mat on a flat, dry surface and position your propagator directly on top.
Most seeds and cuttings perform best at temperatures between 20°C and 25°C. For consistent results, connect the heat mat to the Root+ Heat Mat Thermostat, allowing precise temperature control from 5°C to 35°C.
For improved efficiency, place the Root+ Insulated Mat underneath the heat mat. This helps reduce heat loss, protects against cold surfaces and minimises temperature fluctuations caused by draughts.
Root+ Heat Mats are also ideal wherever gentle bottom heat is required, making them suitable for reptile terrariums, bread making, brewing, winemaking and other warming applications.
Growing Tip
Plug the heating mat or the heated propagator into the thermostat and set to the desired temperature, normally 22 degrees C. Then place the thermostatic probe inside propagator, normally near but not in the soil, this will give you an good idea of the root temperature.
