At the heart of the Root+ range are our Heat Mats, designed to provide consistent bottom heat for propagation.

Available in two sizes, there’s a Root+ Heat Mat to suit different propagation setups:

• Medium – 40cm × 60cm

• Large – 40cm × 120cm

The Medium mat uses approximately 30W, while the Large uses approximately 60W, making them an efficient way to provide gentle heat beneath your propagator.

Simply position your propagator or propagation trays on top of the mat and allow the heat to rise through the base.

Whether you’re starting seeds, taking cuttings or raising young plants, Root+ Heat Mats make it easy to add controlled bottom heat to your propagation setup.

Heat is only useful if you can retain it.

Cold surfaces such as concrete, stone, metal or uninsulated benches can draw heat away from the bottom of your propagator. This means your heat mat has to work harder and the warmth you’re trying to create can be lost into the surface underneath.

That’s where Root+ Insulated Mats come in.

Positioned underneath your heat mat, they provide a layer of insulation between the mat and the surface below. This helps reduce heat loss and directs more of the warmth upwards towards your propagator.

Root+ Insulated Mats are available in Small, Medium and Large sizes, giving you options to match your propagation setup.

For larger setups, the Root+ Large Heat Mat can be paired with three Medium Insulated Mats, creating an insulated area of approximately 120cm × 60cm underneath the mat.

For even greater control, the Root+ Heat Mat Thermostat allows you to regulate the temperature of your heat mat.

Rather than simply switching your heat mat on and leaving it running continuously, the thermostat allows you to set your desired temperature and helps maintain it.

The Root+ thermostat has an adjustable temperature range of 10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F), giving you control over the temperature you’re providing to your propagation area.

It has a maximum load of 1000W / 4.3A, making it suitable for a wide range of propagation heating setups.
