The AC Infinity HYDRONE range has been developed specifically for controlling excess humidity in indoor growing environments, providing a choice of plant dehumidifiers for different grow space sizes and levels of environmental control.

Excess humidity can become increasingly difficult to manage as plants grow and transpiration increases. If moisture is allowed to build up, conditions can become less favourable for healthy plant development while increasing the risk of condensation, mould and other humidity-related problems.

HYDRONE dehumidifiers remove excess moisture from the air while providing much finer control than a conventional household dehumidifier. Depending on the model selected, the range provides advanced features including multiple drying levels, humidity and VPD control, ducted operation and integration with the AC Infinity UIS ecosystem.

Choose the Right HYDRONE

The AC Infinity HYDRONE range includes three models designed for different growing environments and humidity requirements.

HYDRONE 3 is the compact model, designed for fine-tuning humidity and VPD in smaller grow tents. It uses dual thermoelectric motors with 10-level PWM control and features an integrated controller with a corded environmental sensor.

HYDRONE 5 steps up to a more powerful PWM-controlled rotary motor with 10 individual drying levels. It is designed to provide effective moisture removal across a wide range of environmental temperatures and is suitable where greater dehumidification performance is required.

HYDRONE 7 combines higher dehumidification performance with an onboard humidity and VPD controller. Intelligent AI programming can dynamically adjust drying output to help maintain the selected environmental conditions.

10-Level Drying Control

Rather than relying entirely on basic on/off operation, the HYDRONE range provides precise control over moisture removal.

HYDRONE 5 and HYDRONE 7 use AC Infinity’s proprietary PWM-controlled rotary motor technology to provide 10 distinct drying levels with an immediate on/off response.

This allows drying output to be better matched to the amount of moisture that needs to be removed from the growing environment.

The compact HYDRONE 3 also provides 10-level PWM control using its dual thermoelectric system, making it suitable for smaller environments where fine adjustments to humidity and VPD are required.

Humidity and VPD Management

Humidity plays an important role throughout the plant growth cycle and has a direct relationship with VPD and plant transpiration.

The HYDRONE range provides growers with greater control over excess moisture, helping maintain more consistent environmental conditions as plant size and transpiration levels change.

Control capabilities vary between models. HYDRONE 3 provides onboard humidity and VPD monitoring and trigger-based automation, while HYDRONE 7 features an onboard humidity and VPD controller with intelligent AI programming.

HYDRONE 5 provides straightforward drying control and can gain additional environmental automation when connected to compatible AC Infinity controllers.

Flexible Ducted Installation

HYDRONE dehumidifiers have been designed with grow tent and grow room installations in mind.

Ducting can be connected to direct dry air into the growing environment, allowing the dehumidifier itself to be positioned outside the grow tent. This can help preserve valuable floor space within smaller growing areas.

Compatible configurations can also use an additional intake connection to create a closed-loop system, drawing humid air from the growing environment through the dehumidifier before returning drier air.

This provides growers with greater flexibility when deciding where to position their climate control equipment.

Drainage-Ready Design

Managing the water collected by a dehumidifier is another important consideration, particularly when equipment is operating for extended periods.

HYDRONE models feature an internal water collection reservoir, while compatible models can also be configured for continuous gravity drainage.

This can reduce the amount of manual emptying required and makes the system better suited to longer-term environmental management.

AC Infinity UIS Integration

HYDRONE dehumidifiers can form part of the wider AC Infinity UIS ecosystem.

Compatible models can connect to AC Infinity smart controllers, allowing dehumidification to work alongside other environmental equipment such as extraction fans, circulation fans, humidifiers, heaters and lighting.
