Let’s Talk About PK Boosters

What is a PK Booster?

PK Boosters are nutrient supplements that encourage plants to hit the flowering stage earlier by producing a chemical change within the plant.

They contain both Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K) which together will ensure increased flower size, potency and will speed up growth.


Concentrations

PK boosters come in different concentrations, with the most popular concentrations being 9/18’s and 13/14’s.

If you want to know why… it’s due to different ratios of P to K… as your plant has different needs at different stages of the plants’ growth.

You can get pK in both liquid or powder form, in the different concentrations as mentioned above.

Recommended Usage

PK Boosters with concentrations of 13/14 are normally used for 1-2 weeks and 3-4 weeks before harvest.

Alternatively, PK Boosters with a concentration of 9/18 can be used from week 4 of flowering and used for 3-4 weeks.


TIP… When using PK you generally want to reduce your base nutrient by 20-30 percent.

BIG TIP… Always put your additives in first and in the recommended quantities… Then you add your base nutrient to bring up to the required EC level.
