Still or stagnant water can be a problem within a hydroponics system, so it’s best to keep reservoir or tanks oxygenated. not only will it keep the nutrient solution well mixed but using a high quality airstone is essential when trying to maintain a healthy root zone. To use an airstone with the pump attach some airline to the air pump nozzle and attach the other side to the airstone nozzle, then submerge the airstone within the tank or reservoir. Always remember to have the air pump higher than the airstone to ensure no liquid can be siphoned into the air pump.
This pump is also used within the mother nature CO2 generator and can be bought as a replacement when needed.
