Organic Nutrients: Tips & Giveaway!

Using organic nutrients for the first time, or thinking about going organic?

Here are some useful tips to help you get the most out of your plants when using organic nutrients…

Dosage / Ratios

Make sure you select the appropriate dosage and ratios for your substrate and the age of your plant.

Shake the bottle thoroughly and add the appropriate dosage to pH-adjusted water (pH. 6 to 7), then mix well, re-check the pH and apply.

Avoid Cold Water

If your water is below 15°C the micro-organisms that are needed for organic growing will slow down significantly. Try to keep your water between 18 and 21°C.

The same goes for soil/substrate temperature where possible.

Be Sure to Monitor Conditions

Make sure you keep an eye on your conditions and adapt accordingly, dosage is a guide only – all waters and conditions vary, so regularly measure the EC and pH of runoff and adjust inputs accordingly.

EC should range from 0.8 for seedlings to 1.2 for mature plants.

Water containers to at least 30% runoff weekly.

Add 0.1g/L of Mycorrhizae

We recommend adding 0.1g/L of mycorrhizae to your system as it will boost mycorrhizal populations around roots and increase access to nutrients. In organic growing, we use micro-organisms to make nutrients available to plants.

Without healthy beneficials, true organic nutrients can’t work!
