Wes’ Autopot XL System 🍅 (Pt 2)

Welcome back for Part Two of our very first guest blog by Wes @fig_grows_81

First of all, many thanks to Wes for kicking off our new series of guest blogs!

In part 1, Wes took us through setting up his Autopot XL system to grow tomatoes in his polytunnel.

This week we will be giving you an update on how he’s getting on since that blog a few weeks ago.

Below we’ve pieced together the latest updates from his Instagram account, and we’ll get a follow-up from Wes himself as soon as he begins to see some results…

Let’s see how he has been getting on…

So it’s #tomatotuesday again and the spam continues as @niallradford puts it 😂🍅🍅🍅
Drop cords made last night and attached this morning.
3 weeks to go and the tap is turned on to this amazing @autopot_global setup! 😍🍅

April 19

My @autopot_global system is looking better and better as the tomatoes start to fill out! Marigolds are starting to flower too! 😍😍

You’ve just got to love this XL Autopot system by @autopot_global 😍

Taken advice from Jason to turn off the taps and have the plants work for their food / water for a few days, I didn’t even question the man! 😂

There’s still plenty of feed in the soil so nothing needed to add to the tank just yet.

I still think they’ve 15% off of some of the ranges so well worth a look!

It’s nice going away but it’s also nice coming back.

A little nipping out done today on the tomatoes and the first sight of a green tinge to the fingers 😂😂

How’s your tomato game this year? Thanks to @autopot_global mines pretty amazing!

May 8

Tomato Tuesday again and the girls are pushing on. New suckers forming in just two days at a length of 30-40mm or 3-4cm.

Soon the tickle stick will be coming out 😂

All varieties now catching up with one another.

May 10

This @autopot_global system is just showing off now!

I arrive at the plot, look at the plants, nip out a couple of suckers and away I go. So far I have to top up the tank every 3 weeks but this will increase as the plants become bigger and demand more food but I think you can agree, she looks brilliant

May 17

They’re certainly getting thicker, taller, wider and more and more flower sets / trusses forming on my @autopot_global XL system.

How many are trying these this year? If you’re not, what are you waiting for?😍🍅🍅

Before and after trimming out the bottom leaves.

We grow these plants for fruit not the green leaves.

It’s really essential that we keep airflow moving around the plants to help with the health of the plant. 🍅🍅🍅🍅

That’s all for this edition… we look forward to hearing from Wes himself in the coming weeks!
