Growing top-quality plants indoors has never been so effortless, combining our ground-breaking technology with the classic deep water culture method. Recirculating Deep Water Culture is a method used to grow plants with roots submerged in a highly oxygenated nutrient solution. By using the Alien RDWC hydroponic system, you can optimise maximum growth potential. The super oxygenated nutrient solution is constantly recirculating around the system. The pump creates a water current that draws the solution through the pots, mixing the nutrients. This current also delivers vital nutrients to the roots, optimising root health and increasing nutrient uptake efficiency. Importantly, PH and EC levels are maintained continuously due to the high volume of water contained in the system. Available in various sizes and layouts, the Alien RDWC, recirculating deep water culture system provides fast vegetation time, high plant yield and reduced growing time. The RDWC hydroponic system works using Air Rings to increase oxygen delivery to the plant’s roots submerged in the nutrient-rich water. The use of a water chiller is highly recommended, maintaining the nutrient solution at 18-20C will help to keep oxygen levels higher than warm water and helps to prevent root infections and problems. With a large volume of nutrient solution in the system, the only thing you need to do is maintain the PH and EC levels and plan your next crop. Air pumps and Water Chillers are not included but a selection are available here and here. (Water tanks are not included.) In a Deep Water Culture system plants are normally raised in a 3 inch(75mm) rock wool block before being transplanted to the mesh pot, clay pebbles are added to the mesh pot, the block is placed on top and extra clay pebbles are placed around the side for support. When the plants are transplanted to the system they will need to be water gently from the top until the roots have made there way into the nutrient solution. Pro Silver Series features The patent-pending Dual-Flo fittings are an oversized 50mm for a more free-flowing system. These fittings are over 3x the internal size of the 32mm. Heat-reflective silver 50mm pipe is used vs the Black Series green 32mm. Ball valves and heavy-duty inline filters are included with the Silver Series. The pots and lids are also produced from heat-reflective silver polymer. This helps keep nutrient solution temperatures cooler and relieves the water chiller from working as hard. The RWDC hydroponic system fittings are threaded and secured with rubber washers and nuts, making system installation and relocation easier. Heavy-duty clips situated on the sides of the pots elevate the airlines off the floor.
