These heaters feature a built in thermostat and are the perfect solution for keeping your water at the optimum temperature for healthy roots and fast growing plants.
Cold water to the roots can slow down growth substantially.
Use
Simply place the heater in the bottom of the nutrient reservoir, using the sucker feet, then set temperature(usually 18-20c) and switch on.
Never allow the water level to drop below the heater as the sudden temperature difference can cause the glass to crack, so always switch the heater off before emptying your water tank.
Which model?
As a rule, 1 watt per litre of water is required to maintain the correct temperature, so for 100 litres of water or less, we would use a 100 watt water heater.
