These digital, dimmable 600W ballasts are great value for money and have proven to be very reliable as well.
They have variable power settings (see power selector below) that allow the use of various different lamps and the ballast can be used with Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium lamps.

The LUMii Black 600W Electronic Ballast has a female IEC connector output to allow connection to the vast majority of reflectors on the market and has holes at either end to allow the ballast to be mounted on a wall or board.
Use
Connect your reflector to the ballast, screw in a lamp
We recommend Metal Halide lamps for vegetative growth and Sylvania Grolux or Osram NAV T lamps for flowering, if a budget lamp is required, the LUMii Black 600W lamp is a great option.
A wide range of reflectors are available, Adjust-A-Wings are a superb option to maximise light and the LUMii Black is a good option for those on a budget.
Tips
The ability to change power settings means that the ballast can be run at a lower setting (with the appropiate lamp) for growing smaller plants or to keep the temperature down if required. Although HPS lamps can be run at 1 setting below the stated wattage, ie 400w lamp can be used at 250w or a 600w can be run at 400w, it is better to use the correct lamp.
Metal Halide lamps should always be used at the correct wattage.
